Spot the Wellington Monument

Competition closed

Competition - Harrier and Monument.

Every day while we've been developing our Harrier Attack II game, we look out of the office window and see the Wellington Monument perched atop the Blackdown hills. Could we stop ourselves including a model of the monument in the game? Of course we couldn't. But where is it?

Sorry, our competition is now closed, but you may still enjoy the challenge of finding the monument. Download Harrier Attack II and play the three South Island missions (they're free!). See if you can find the Wellington monument in one of the missions. It's not easy, but it wouldn't be challenging if it was, would it?.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the answer.

Previous Competition Winners:

  • October 2007: Hossam Mohsen and Karl Watts. Congratulations to them.
  • November 2007: Nobody got the right answer. Proves how hard it is huh!

Answer:

The monument is in the Soften mission, but it is not easy to spot it. The first time you play soften you will not be able to see it because it is behind the camera. You must win the ability to turn (in the Repel mission) first, then play the Soften mission again. Begin Soften, take off and fly over the first cliff onto the land and then turn. The monument is perched on top of the hill in the background..
