Port and Starboard Turns
These manoeuvres cause the Harrier to turn 180 degrees, to port
or starboard, while remaining in level flight. Aside from being
useful to turn around, it is also possible to attack off flight
path targets during the turn.
When using the standard turns, at the end of the turn the
Harrier will have the same degree of deviation from the flight path
as at the start. With the 'RTF' (Return To Flight path) turns, at
the end of the turn the Harrier will be re-centred directly over
the flight path. With the 'DFF' (Deviate From Flight path) turns,
at the end of the turn the Harrier will have deviated from its previous flight path.
Four manoeuvres are awarded:
- Port
- Port - DFF (deviate from flight path)
- Port - RTF (return to flight path)
- Starboard
- Starboard - DFF
- Starboard - RTF
The turns are triggered by key-code.
The codes to use are given here.
This award may be won in mission Snare.
