three intensity levels, you may elect to keep the intensity static
at one level, or allow the intensity to vary with the on-screen
game action.
On the right you may allow the game to play the track that is
factory set to play with the mission, always play your favourite
track, or randomly play from your own play-list.
Keyboard Settings Screen
Use this screen to alter
the keyboard assignments to your own
personal preferences. Click on a button to alter the asigned
key.
Key-code Settings Screen
This screen allows you to
adjust the timing, and practice entry, of key-codes. To practice the entry of keycodes
simply enter the keycode as you would in the game. You don't have
to have been awarded the code in order to practice it here. For
example: The VIFF And Pursue
manoeuvre key-code is slower, faster, slower. Rapidly entering the
keycode gives the result shown in the Test Window the 62mS is the
time elapsed between initially pressing and releasing the slower
key, in milliseconds. The 156mS is the time elapsed between
releasing the slower key and releasing the faster key. The 157mS is
the time elapsed between releasing the faster key and releasing the
final slower key.
To adjust the timing of key-codes just move the 'Initial release
time' and 'Subsequent time window' slide bars. The 'Initial release
time' adjusts the maximum time allowed for the first press and
release of the slower key (ie the 62mS in the example). The
'Subsequent time window' adjusts the maximum time allowed between
releasing one key, and pressing and releasing the next key of the
key-code (eg the 156mS and 157mS in the example). "
See here for consequences
of key-code timing.
TrackIR
Settings Screen
This screen allows you to
adjust which camera axes are controlled by the TrackIRâ„¢ head
tracker device from Natural
Point®.
The yaw and pitch angles may be used to adjust the direction
that the camera is pointing.
The Z axis may be used to zoom in on the Harrier, move your head
towards the screen.
The X and Y axes can be used to adjust the position of the
Harrier on screen. These are disabled by default, the normal,
non-TrackIR behaviour remains in force.
