VIFF Port and VIFF Starboard - DFFThese manoeuvres cause the Harrier to 'Vector In Forward Flight'. This is a manoeuvre unique to the Harrier where the jet nozzles can be rotated to give a rapid deceleration. When timed correctly the VIFF can shake-off a pursuing aircraft or missile. After these manoeuvres the Harrier will have deviated from its previous flight path. These are the only manoeuvres that allow you to deviate from the flightpath while retaining your forward direction. DFF: Deviate From Flight path. Two manoeuvres are awarded, VIFF port - DFF and VIFF starboard - DFF. The VIFFs are triggered by key-code. The codes to use are given here. This award may be won in mission Lure.
