Thanks to all that have voted in this poll. The poll has been online for almost three years now, and we have finally completed Harrier Attack II. As usual with these things, it took a lot longer than expected.

As you can see, Turbo Esprit came top of the list, followed by Scuba Dive and then Thanatos. The problem is we don't have a clear idea at the moment where we could take TE, in the light of there being a lot of driving games out there already, plus the fact that I really wanted to do something new (which didn't receive nearly enough votes in my opinion). However our latest project, 'Slap Trak' does have cars in it, and should prove to be a terrific fun game, with a bit of a difference. We are all really excited about it.

Thanks for all of the comments we've received on the poll (see a selection below), they've kept me going on many a cold dark morning.

30 Sept 2005, "A modern version of Turbo Esprit would be excellent if it was done Grand Theft Auto style. I also would like to see a remake of Saboteur."

3 Oct 2005, "What about a Saboteur sequel???"

11 Oct 2005, "Turbo Esprit was definitely one of the best games to appear on the Spectrum, but Thanatos was so good, too, and a modern version would tap on something which has now not been done a thousand times, so it could probably be more succesful."

12 Oct 2005, "Thanatos sequel: That dragon is an 8bit myth"

13 Oct 2005, "Something new: Strike a blow for innovation while the rest of the industry kills itself with yet more sequels...."

14 Oct 2005, "Where's Saboteur?"

14 Oct 2005, "Another sequel to Saboteur should be next on the list! I spent countless hours playing the first 2 games on the Spectrum back in the 80\'s and would love to see an updated version."

15 Oct 2005, "turbo esprit was an amazing game! and deserves a good follow up :)"

18 Oct 2005, "truth be told its a tough call between the scuba dive and thanatos, as much as I would like to see a sequel to turbo espirit, the car game is not exactly novel at the moment."

18 Oct 2005, "Combat Lynx would be well worth seeing again (still play the Spectrum version now) but we need a quality games company producing games of the kind of difficulty and replay value that we enjoyed in the 80s. If you're all still working for Durell, then you have more than enough talent to do this."

28 Oct 2005, "Jungle Trouble, Scuba Dive and Thanatos are all individual games, which could be worth checking out further, however, something new that was of high quality might be easier to make the company modernise and gain a new audience, though obviously with retro gaming it will always be a niche market!"

10 Nov 2005, "It would be great to have a Vietnam era sim with F4s, A-7s, Thuds, etc.."

22 Dec 2005, "Multiplayer Turbo Esprit would be sweet."

7 Feb 2006, "I am from Uruguay south america. Turbo sprit is one wonderfullgame of the eighties.1Š turbo sprit.10 aņos despues driver"

23 May 2006, "I've played most of your back catalogue, jungle trouble wouldn't take very long to remake but I think a good remake of Turbo Esprit could be a big success."

30 July 2006, "I would love Saboteur 3 and also Saboteur 1 and 2 for Windows and/or consoles"

7 Aug 2006, "Saboteur III NOW!!!"

29 Aug 2006, "Thanatos sequel: Great game and great idea unkown at newer platforms. I think that will be comercial success on PC or PSX."

12 Sept 2006, "How about a Saboteur sequel? :)"

3 April 2007, "Turbo Esprit sequel: Being in 1986 what GTA is today, Turbo Esprit is an ubelivable classic"

8 April 2007, "It's good to have the opportunity to offer a "thank you" for Scuba Dive after all these years. I immersed myself in Scuba Dive for days on end, it's free-flowing atmospheric format was perfect. Here's to a re-make!"

23 April 2007, "Scuba Dive sequel:I remember the good old days as well as the next person."

23 April 2007, "I believe that turbo esprit, scuba dive and harrier attack would all make good sequel's. The trouble is that it's been so long since the originals were out on the spectrum and c64 that to call it "turbo esprit 2" or "scuba dive 2" would be the worst mistake ever. you see so many remakes these days just end up the bargains shelf and the reason is that todays gamers dont buy turbo esprit part 2 or scuba dive part 2 if they dont own part one. it would be best just to stick with the original names and call it a re-release, the sequel's can come after... All the best, Jan..."

23 April 2007, "I LOVED Thanatos on the Amstrad- its still one of my all time faves. Harrier Attack as well.. looking forward to the sequel! Keep up the good work :)"

29 April 2007, "Surely a remake of that classic, if not terribly unforgiving, game sabateur."

30 April 2007, "Turbo Esprit was one of the best games I ever played, when I play the 3D GTA games it still reminds me of the excellent gameplay in this. I owned most of the Durell games on speccy, they were always quality and probably why I always wanted to work on games myself! Keep up the good work!"
